Jim Harding – Director of Workplace Dignity Solutions

Jim has many years experience at a senior management level in the Irish public and private sectors. He has a passion for developing Anti Bullying Programmes, and in 2011 he founded Workplace Dignity Solutions with the objective of providing dedicated and focused services in this area only. This initiative has been embraced by Irish organisations who benefit from collaborating with experts when dealing with such a demanding and sensitive subject. Workplace Dignity Solutions soon established themselves as Ireland’s leading experts in the public and private sectors for workplace bullying and harassment services.
In 2008 he launched www.bully4u.ie. Bully 4U has developed an excellent reputation nationally in Irish schools at both primary and secondary level, and throughout the health sector. As well as providing effective anti bullying solutions for Irish schools, Bully 4u train teachers and parents, and provide excellent student workshops. Bully4u.ie is currently used as an information resource by schools, third level institutions, health organisations and the media in more than 68 countries.
His communication concepts and projects have won many national marketing and advertising awards. He has previously been a guest lecturer at the Dublin Institute of Technology and, was highly commended in the Young Ireland Thinker of the Year 2007. He organised an event which was listed in the Guinness Book of Records in 1995, and despite numerous attempts to break it this record still stands.

Dr. Gerard McMahon – Workplace Dignity and Harassment Expert

Gerry McMahon is acknowledged as a national expert in the area of Workplace Bullying and Harassment. He has over 25 years experience across a host of reputable public and private sector organisations, 3rd level educational and academic institutions. He has extensive experience working as a consultant, trainer, practitioner, investigator, facilitator, mediator, arbitrator and ‘expert witness’ on behalf of a wide range of Government departments, public sector enterprises, semi-state entities, blue chip companies, professional institutes, trade unions, employer and communityvoluntary cum religious organisations. In addition to his work as a lecturer in Human Resource Management at the Faculty of Business, Dublin Institute of Technology, he works as the lead presenter on a number of practitioner-oriented programmes run by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and SKILLNETS (incl. ‘How To Respond To A Bullying Allegation’) and is the Managing Director of the human resource management and employee relations training and advisory company Productive Personnel Ltd.
Gerry has had a vast range of books and articles published across a host of reputable media (from the pure academic to the more ‘popular’ publications), in his specialist areas. He has also been a frequent columnist with THE IRISH TIMES, the SUNDAY BUSINESS POST, the INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS NEWS, PEOPLE FOCUS (C.I.P.D. journal) and expert commentator for Radio Telefis Eireann and TV3 in the aforementioned areas. Gerry has served as a member of the C.I.P.D.’s Adjudication Board for the ‘National Learning & Development’ and the ‘Excellence in Human Resource Management’ Awards and of the ‘H.R. Leaders’ Forum’. He is also a Council member of the Irish Association for Industrial Relations and was appointed by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation as an External Adjudicator at the Workplace Relations Commission\Labour Court in 2015.
Colm Ward – Workplace Dignity and Harassment Expert
Colm Ward is HR Consultant with 30 years Employee Relations experience in leading Irish and Multi National Companies. He is a Psychology and Economics graduate and a member of CIPD.
Colm has extensive hands on experience of working with companies in preparing and implementing policies and procedures in such areas as Dignity and Respect in the Workplace, Grievance Procedures, Disciplinary Procedures, etc.
He has considerable experience of coaching and working with Senior and Line Managers in the area of best practice Employee Relations.
Colm can conduct very practical and focused one to one coaching and in-house training in the key areas of awareness and the various preventative measures which can greatly reduce the risk of bullying occurring in the workplace. He can also provide expert advice on how to address bullying if it occurs. He has prepared and presented cases at Rights Commissioner, Conciliation and full hearings of the Labour Court.
Colm can provide employers with the necessary framework, policies & procedures and coaching in this increasingly important area of company life.
